| Close shave for JetLite passengers at Srinagar airport | | Wheels of flight jammed while landing | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar|Sep 23 More than 120 passengers of a JetLite flight had a narrow escape when the wheels of the aircraft were wedged while landing at Srinagar Airport, this morning. Sources quoting eyewitnesses told News Agency of Kashmir that panic gripped airport staff and security officials when wheels of JetLite flight No S2-165 from Delhi to Srinagar were jammed while landing at the airport. More than 120 passengers, including some foreigners, were on board when the flight developed the technical snag. However, all of them escaped unhurt, officials sources said. “The flight took off from Delhi airport and it was about the land at the Srinagar airport when pilot informed the control tower about the jammed wheel”, sources said adding, “Though the situation was panicky the pilots managed to control the situation”. All the passenger on board and the crew members were completely safe, a security official said. “We did not know anything. However, we realized that something is wrong as the flight was not having the smooth landing”, one of the passengers said.
