Three arrested with 45 bovines

Rajbagh police today arrested three bovine smugglers and recovered 45 bovines from their possession when they was on way to deliver the consignment. According to reports police received specific information that some bovines smugglers were on way to Punjab by Ujh nullah, SSP Kathua JP Singh constituted a police team led by SHO Rajbagh Karanjeet Singh which laid a naka in the area and arrested three persons namely Bashir Ahmed son of Sheru, Juma son of Bashir Ahmed both residents of Vijaypur and Lal Hussain son of Haman Ali resident of Mathura Chak and recovered 45 bovines from their possession and took them to police station for further interrogation. Reports said during interrogation they told police that they were active in smuggling of bovines from last many years and today they were on way to Punjab to deliver the consignment. Police has also registered a case in this regard and is investigating the matter.
