Deman ding early release of 6 per cent DA to the state employees and pensioners due from July last, Subash Shastri President National Mazdoor Conference has appealed the Prime Minister to constitute a high power committee for formulating modalities for providing special package to resource deficit states to implement the 6th pay penal recommendations simultaneously across the country.
Addressing NMC workers rally here today, Shastri has urged the Chief Minister to release pending installment of 6 per cent DA due from July this year in favour of the state government employees and pensioners before the coming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Describing the previous year as the year of salaried class, Shastri said that the CM took some historic decisions such as quick release of all pending DA installments, enhancement of medical allowance and several other measures. He said the current year should be the year of the daily wagers and hoped that their services would be regularized in on go.
