A Hardware shop today gutted in fire at Shivaji Chowk Nanak Nagar. Some locals when noticed the smoke coming out from the closed shop, immediately informed fire brigade The fire was controlled by the fire tenders before it could engulf the nearby shops.
According to reports, today afternoon some locals noticed smoke coming from the hardware shop of Prem and Company which was closed due to Sunday. They immediately informed the fire brigade. Eight fire tenders took two hours to control the fire which caused huge loss of property and material inside the shop. The reason behind the fire is being ascertained. Police has registered a case in this regard and is investigating the matter.
