| Farooq to inaugurate season opener today | | | Early Times Reporter

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) president and Member Parliament, Dr Farooq Abdullah shall inaugurate the opening limited overs under-19 cricket tourney between hosts J&K and Himachal Pradesh at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar tomorrow.
The opening match of the season was earlier scheduled for September 25 by the BCCI’s North Zone fixture committee but was pre-poned by a day following request of the hosts JKCA, who wanted to make it a show by holding an inaugural function at the cricket stadium with former Chief Minister as the chief guest.
Still without a coach, the team has got a manager, Masood, whose nomination was made today by the JKCA.
The 50 overs a side game shall start at 9.30 AM. Two matches a day have been scheduled for two different venues of Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium and Kashmir University.
J&K team: Ram Dayal Tuli (captain), Parvez Ahmed (vice-captain), Mandeep Singh, Adil Rishi, Ulfat Ahmed, Mudassir Ahmed (wicket-keeper), Amit Aziz, Manik Gupta, Mehraz Ahmed, Aatif Nabi, Avinash Singh Manhas, Nitish Sharma, Zahoor Sofi, Rohit Sharma, Chetan Chib and, Sahil Gupta.
