A solider was killed in a road mishap near Channi Himat, on the outskirts of Jammu city late on Monday evening.
Official sources said that an army gypsy collided with a pillar of a bridge, last evening, killing its driver on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Qasim of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry.
The deceased was resident of Mendhar town of Poonch district, where his body was sent this afternoon after completion of the legal formalities.
