Jammu State Student Morcha today protested against the controversy created in the Govt. Polytechnic College, in which some anti national students of college raised slogans against India. The activists of JSSM on reaching the Polytechnic College demanded for the suspension of those anti national students and urged the police authorities to take strict action against them.
In the meantime, police authorities started lathicharge on the students in which Sunil Sharma, State President JSSM and Rakesh Chin, President JU got injured and also arrested some student leaders.
After this incident JSSM closed the university road for more than three hours and demanded for the release of student leaders. After getting the assurance from police authoritries to take legal action against anti national students, the students dispersed from the spot.
Other students who take active role in the protest were Vikrant Singh, Mohinder Pal Singh, Munish Gandotra, Kapil Dev and Arun Bose.
