Hundreds of the people of the Bhalla, Bhaderwah today staged a protest demonstration and blocked the main Bhaderwah-Doda road near Bhalla against the atrocities made by the some delinquent Army jawans of the TA who are presently working with 4 RR and 10 RR .
In the morning, the local people assembled on the main road and started shouting slogans against the army personnel and claimed that on September 22, in wee hours, some TA jawns tried to enter forcibly in the house of the Youth Congress General Secretary Tariq Ahmed Batt with the motive to kill him but when they saw his personnel body guards challenging them they flew away from the spot ,the people claimed .The protest was held under the banner of the Bhalla unit Congress in which Himat Raj ,Ravinder Kotwal ,Ab.Latef Zargar ,Subash ,Rajinder Kumar Gh .Mohidin Malothi ,Parkash Kumar addressed the gathering and alleged that TA Jawans hatched a conspiracy against the Tariq Batt, a popular leader of the area. The protestors said that they have also sent a fax to Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to inform him about the TA Jawans plan to assassinate the Congress leader. The protestors said they have also lodged a FIR in this connection in PP Bhalla and also identified the jawans who included PSO of Bhat and a TA jawan .The protestors demanded a high level inquiry in this matter and threatened to intensify the stir if the delinquent officials are not dealt with as per the law.
On contacting a senior Police officer he said that the matter is under investigation and the culprits will not be spared if found guilty.
