| Tension continues in Rajouri town | | Schools, colleges remained closed | | Shafiq Mir Rajouri | Sep 26 The communal tension between two communities remained continued in border town Rajouri on second consecutive day Wednesday. Beside continuing the imposition of section 144 in the town and other sensitive places, the administration didn’t allow any educational institution to resume their normal work on Wednesday fearing fresh clashes between the two groups. Most of the business establishments owned by a particular community also remained closed in the town demanding the arrest of the members of other community . However, no fresh report of any violence was reported from any corner of the district, said Tej Ram Katoch SP Rajouri. The communal tension had broke out in Rajouri town on Monday evening soon after India’s victory over Pakistan in twenty-20 world cup at South Africa . Soon after, the match was declared in favor of India , some of the miscreants of Hindu community started bursting fire crackers in the lawns of masques in Rajouri town where the Muslims were performing Taravi Namaz at that time. On this Muslims got irritated and they came out from the Masques which followed group clashes between the two communities injuring about 35 people including senior police officers. The whole of the tension started from Amira Masjid where some of the fire crackers were burst inside the Masjid when the Muslims were busy in Travi prayers, said an eye witness and in charge of the Masque Advocate Shakoor Ahmed. And later this practice spread to the other masques in the town, said Shafqat Wani and other eyewitness. Today , on third day of the communal tension in the town, the administration continued its parleys with the representatives of both the communities with out any result till late this evening. During the parleys , both the communities kept trading charges on each other and the meetings concluded on the consensus to meet again. Mean while, Mufti Abdul Rashid Qadri , a lecturer in Government PG College Rajouri while addressing the media persons has threatened to take out big procession on coming Friday in protest against the desecration of the honor of the masques by Hindu extremists. He also alleged that dozens of Muslims were being mercilessly beaten up by the RSS activists near Bagnoti in Nowshehra area last evening . “ About one dozen Muslim passengers were thrown out from the buses by the Hindu extremists at Bagnoti on Tuesday evening and they were beaten up severely. Presenting an elderly man Master Ummer Ahmed of Dodasan Bala before the media persons, Mufti said he was beaten up and his beard was also pulled in full public view”. Demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the anti Muslim Activities, Qadri said he will not hesitate to take the extreme step on Friday
