| Nikhil to fight for double title | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 26 After reaching both junior snooker and junior billiards finals, Nikhil Kapahi will be fighting for the double title in the ongoing 17th Jammu district billiards and snooker championship here. After making it into the junior snooker final yesterday, Nikhil defeated Abhishek Pathania today to qualify for the junior billiards final. Now, in the billiards final, Nikhil will take on Ishan Choudhary. “The billiards final has been scheduled for tomorrow at 2 pm while the snooker final shall be played on September 28 at same time and same venue,” said Sheetal Gandotra, general secretary of the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association. Earlier, Nikhil had no trouble in defeating Abhishek in the semi-finals today winning the contest with a heavy margin of more than 250 points with score on board reading 462-200 in a 90-minute game. In another semi-final, Ishan Choudhary defeated Vidit Gowri 450-310. In the quarterfinals played in the morning session, Abhishek beat Rajesh Salathia 213-180 and Vidit bt Aditya Mahajan 186-127 in the one-hour games.
