| Money was the reason behind the murder | | Police solves murder mystery of girl | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sept 26 Police claimed to have solves a murder mystery of a girl whose body was found from canal in Teenda Kullian on of August 7. Police arrested all the four accused involved in the crime. According to police reports, the deceased namely Updesh Bhagat daughter of Bal Singh resident of Makhanpur Gujran Miran Sahib was trapped in love affair by main accused Hardev Singh son of Surjeet Singh resident of Simbal Morh who allured the girl and extracted from her an amount of Rs Two Lakhs for getting her a job in State Bank of India. Accused deposited the amount in his account in Jammu Rural Bank. When the girl did not get the job she demanded the money back from accused who then hatched a conspiracy to kill her. Police also said that Hardev Singh hired one Rajinder Singh alias Lucky resident of Nanak Nagar for killing the girl on consideration of Rs. 1.50 lakh and according to their plan Rajinder Singh called Updesh Bhagat to Gole Market through mobile phone on the assurance that he would get Rs. two lakh from Hardev Singh. Updesh Bhagat came to Gole Market where Rajinder Singh made her to sit in his car and serve some sedatives. The girl became unconscious and he drove the car towards Bavilliyana Satwari where he strangulated her to death and informed Hardev Singh about the killing of the girl. Rajinder called another friend Hapinder Singh son of Labh Singh resident of Simbal Camp and one Babi with Tata Sumo for disposing off the body. The body was shifted from the car and kept in Sumo and subsequently was dropped in canal in Teenda Kullian near Simbal where from the body was recovered by police. The investigation of the case was taken up by SHO Satwari Arvinder Kotwal under the close supervision of SP City South Zahid Manhas and SDPO SDS Chouhan. |
