| Awareness programme held | | | Early Times Reporter Kargil | Sep 26 In order to make aware to the scheduled caste/tribe & Backward classes Notified National minorities, Safai Karamcharies and physically Backward Development Corporation has organized one day awareness camp at Indoor Stadium, Kargil the other day. The programme was graced by the Executive Councillor for works and power, LAHDC, Kargil Nasir Hussain Munshi as Chief Guest. At the outset Managing Director SC, ST and BG Development Corporation V.C. Sharma gave a comprehensive resume of the Corporation and its activities and appealed to the people to take maximum benefits from various schemes sponsored by the corporation. He also briefed the direct financing and skill development training schemes for upliftment of socio-economic conditions of the people. On the occasion 54 loan sanctioning orders for establishments of small business units up to Rs. 1.00 lakh each have distributed among ST beneficiaries. The officers of the Corporation including Mohd. Iqbal Khtaria, manager (Projects) gave technical details of the schemes. Dr. K.K. Kichloo, Additional Secretary Social Welfare department who is also present on the occasion highlighted the details of various schemes of Social Welfare department. In his address, Executive Councillor for Works and Powers Nasir Hussain Munshi thanked the Managing Director SC, ST, and BC Development Corporation and his team for holding such awareness camp in Kargil district. He said that Kargil district has a great scope in industry in food and fruit sea buckthorn etc and stressed upon the functionaries of Corporation to ensure proper guidance and directions to the people for establishing viable business and make them conversant in formulation of project, finance procedures and marketing availability. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Mohd Hasan Lal District Social Welfare Officer, Kargil. Among others who present in the awareness camp includes Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Fida Hussain, Child Development Project Officers Nargis Bano and large number of people.
