| Task Forces to brief Cabinet on status of infrastructure development | | CM asks Chairmen to prepare for the meeting | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Sep 27 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today asked the Chairmen of Task Forces set up to monitor infrastructure development in various departments to take the mandatory monthly review meeting of their respective sectors within a couple of days and prepare for briefing the State Cabinet about the pace of work on ongoing projects in its next meeting. Azad was speaking at a meeting here to review construction of buildings for newly set up 14 degree colleges under the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme. The Chief Minister said that the next meeting of the Cabinet would be a marathon exercise during which all heads of the Task Forces would brief it regarding their individual sectors. He asked them to take a review meeting at their level within a couple of days so as to be ready for briefing the Cabinet. It may be recalled that the State Government has constituted 9 Task Forces to monitor infrastructure development in various sectors across the State. The Task Forces are headed by officers of the rank of Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary. The Chairmen of the Task Forces are required to hold monthly internal meetings to review progress on development projects and brief the State Cabinet after every two months.
