| Centre releases funds under rural roads project | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 27 The central government has sanctioned and released an amount of Rs. 200.61 Lakh (Rupee two crore and sixty one thousand only) under Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojna (SGRY) to the Ladakh district of Jammu and Kashmir state for the financial year 2007-08. The grant is aid is a central assistance for the implementation of SGRY. The grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilized for approved items of works subjects to the conditions laid down in the SGRY guidelines. Under this Yojna the ZPs/DRDAs will release the entire funds allocated to them directly to the village panchayats in the proportion of 20:30:50 respectively within fifteen days of receipts of funds from the centre or state without waiting for matching share either from the centre or the state. The state government should release its share within fortnight of the date of release of the central assistance. The expenditure on the implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on the 75:25 basis between central and state government respectively. |
