Lieutenant General TK Sapru, General Officer Commanding, 16 Corps, inaugurated ‘Sadbhavana Hostel’ at Mahor, today. The function presided over by Major General PC Panjikar, General Officer Commanding Uniform Force was graced by many dignitaries. Sadbhavana Hostel, dedicated to the people of the area, is designed to accommodate 50 children. The hostel boasts of modern construction and high-tech amenities within.
Welcoming the gathering, Major General PC Panjikar, General Officer Commanding Uniform force said that the yeoman service done by Army as part of Operation Sadbhavana has transformed the environment from one of ‘Terror, Devastation and Destruction’ to that of ‘Freedom, Fearlessness and Development’.
Lieutenant General TK Sapru, GOC 16 Corps, while outlining the contribution of Uniform Force in the development of the area highlighted the positive impact of Operation Sadbhavana on the local populace. He applauded the efforts of Uniform Force for their outstanding contribution in the holistic upliftment of Mahor Tehsil.
General Sapru thanked the locals for their candid support to the Army in all their initiatives, be it conduct of operations against militants or execution of Operation Sadbhavana projects.
