| ABVP appeals student community to remain united | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 28 Akhil Bhartiya Parishad (BVP) expressed its concern over the situation arisen in college campuses particularly the hostels. These hostels are now becoming a shelter and hide out for anti-national activities stated National Executive member ABVP Suresh Mangotra. He said that the problem is not new, in 2004 the situation was tense at RS Pura SKUAST hostel where some students raised pro-Pakistan slogans and the situation was not controlled and it resulted into clashes. Similar event had occurred in Batra-college Hostel and the latest incident occurred at Govt.Ploytechnic College, Mangotra added. He expressed doubts that Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) seems to be behind these happening inside the hostels. Since these hostels are full with students of far flung areas who are trapped by some anti national elements who mind wash them to carry forward such activities. He added that ABVP condemned the lathicharge on AVBP activists and students of Govt. Polytechnic College. ABVP demanded that the Chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad should hold an enquiry about the role of concerned police officers involved in this whole episode and also demanded arrest of the hostel warden and students involved in antinational activities. ABVP appealed to the young generation, especially to the student community to remain unite and they also appealed to the Muslim students not to involve in these sort of activities and must strength the country and state.
