| Law school holds moot court contest | | | Early Times Reporter The 12th Steston International Environmental Law Moot-Court competition began toady at General Zorawar Singh auditorium in Jammu University. The competition was inaugurated by the former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K, Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Chief guest on this occasion. He delievered thought provoking inaugural lecture and highlighted the aim and objectives of Moot –Court as a strong component academic curriculum of the Law school. He also educated the students about the relevance and importance of clinical Legal education for the students of the law institutions. Prof. VK Kapoor, director, The Law School highlighted the achievements of the students of The Law School in field of Moot Court Competition through out the country. The students of the Law School have participated in twenty National Level Moot-Court Competition, since the last 2 years and have also bagged best Mooters awards at National Level. Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu presided over the function. The Law School owes its existence and growth to the to the most encouraging blessings of Prof. Mattoo who being Vice-Chancellor, desired students of The Law School to become World Class Leaders from this world class institution. The Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu is also the Chief Patron of the Steston International Moot-Court Competition to be held at Jammu. Dr. Arvind Jasrotia, Academic Co-ordinator of The Law School thanked all the VIP’s, Guests, Outside Participating teams, Students and others, while Dr. Mrinalini Atrey conducted the deliberations of the inaugural Function.
