| IED blast in Central Kashmir, trooper injured | | LeT claims responsibility | | Srinagar| Sept 28 :A powerful explosive device as detonated by militants this morning at Chadoora- Budgam road trapping a CRPF vehicle, causing minor damage to it and injuring one of the jawan, official sources said. Sources informed that militants detonated an IED near Devbagh at Chadoora road in Budgam district of Central Kashmir, this morning. A CRPF vehicle of 24 Bn got trapped leaving one jawan injured and partial damage to the vehicle. Traffic on the Chadoora-Budgam road was halted because of the blast for about half an hour and jawans of 24 CRPF sealed off the area for searches, sources added. Meanwhile a caller identifying himself as Dr Abdullah Gaznavi, spokesman of Lashker-e-Toiba owned the responsibility for the blast. He told a news agency over phone that its cadres had laid the trap for the security forces. He claimed that heavy causality has been inflicted to the security forces. "Seven security personnel were killed and three injured in the blast", he claimed. However, officials said that only one jawan was injured in the blast that was triggered probably with a remote control device. PRO CRPF Kashmir S K Singh said that a vehicle of 24 Bn carrying jawans was on its way towards its company when it was targeted. He said that a normal mine was detonated by the militants causing damage to the vehicle and a jawan received minor injuries.
