| Two militants arrested near border | | | Jammu | Sep 28 Two Pak intruders were arrested by the Army late night in Poonch sector and recovered a cache of arms from their possession. The arrested intruders have been identified as Mohammed Ishtaq alias Kamran and Amjad Hussain alias Nazakat of HM outfit.Two AK rifles, two magazines and 65 rounds were also recovered from them. According to sources, last night, the alert jawans on the border observed a movement near the fencing along the LoC and launched a search operation in Tarkundi area in Poonch district. During search, jawans noticed two persons running near the border along with weapons. After a hot chase the forces nabbed both the ultras and took them to the base for questioning. Sources said that during interrogation they told the security forces that they belonged to Gambhir Muglan area of Rajouri district and had crossed into PoK for arms training in 2001. They were trained in handling of weapons and explosive in Balakote based training camp in PoK and some days back the commander of the outfit asked them to cross the border and join the cadre, which was active in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir State. They also told that many local youths of the state were getting weapon training in the PoK and they were scheduled to cross the border next month. Sources said, today morning the militants were handed over to police for interrogation during which they said they were fed up with the militancy and wanted to come back to the mainstream. A police spokesman said that their interrogation was on in a police station to know more links of militants in the area and more details of the training camps in Pakistan.
