Despite knowing all this the local administration has done little to stem the rot despite provision of funds for its maintenance by the District Development Board.. The complex houses a dozen of government department like revenue, social welfare, youth service and sports, food and supplies, education which presents a shabby look and look like a cattle field. Though the District development board is providing funds in lakhs to every department for development purpose but they are not even spending a single pie for the development of the secretariat premises. Talking to ET correspondent, senior national conference leader Pardeep Kesar said the complex lacks the parking facility nor there is any facility for the visitors visiting the complex. Employees including officers hardly attend office in time, he alleged and said that the check post at the entry of the complex has lost its utility as there is no checking of the visitors who through the complex in thousands daily. He called upon the district administration to wake up from the deep slumber and ensure proper maintenance of the complex and immediate removal of the garbage dumps apart from setting up permanent parking stand. |
