| Workshop on capacity building held | | | Early Times Reporter

Dr. Ambedkar studies Centre, Department of sociology, University of Jammu organized one day workshop on Awareness Generation and Capacity Building about sanitation among sikligars at Govidpura. Minister of Health and Medical Education, Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The members of the Sikligar community of the area shared their views about problems with which include, lack of common clean toilets, no proper disposal of garbage, no dispensary, blocked drains, congested living and overall unhealthy environment.
Dr. Abha Chauhan , Director Dr. Ambedkar studies centre , university of Jammu highlighted these aspects on the basis of research study done by the centre.
Sharma in his address to the participants assured the participants of all the necessary help. He said that the govt. will consider the problem of the unhygienic toilets and will provide proper toilet facility to the residents of area.
The program was conducted by Ranjit sharma while Shivani Abrol presented the vote of thanks. |
