| “YBA releases video song on blood donation” | | | Early Times Reporter

The All India Voluntary Blood Donation Day witnessed the release of first ever video song on blood donation produced by Young Blood Association, Jammu, as part of its on- going silver jubilee year celebrations. The video CD was released by Sudhanshu Pandey Divisional Commissioner Jammu at press club in the presence of electronic and print media personnel, besides doctors, school principals, social workers and artists.
Pandey expressed his pleasure that YBA has contributed a lot in the field of voluntary blood donation and is the first NGO to have produced a video song on this subject. He congratulated YBA team for their valuable support for this venture and wished them good luck.
Anil Padha, Founder Chairman of YBA, in his welcome address thanked the artists who gave free service for the completion of Video CD and added that this video shall be also presented at the All India CME and ISBTI at Bhopal on November 3, 2007 where different blood banks and NGO sfrom all over the country shall get this CD for mass motivation of blood donation.
T.R Raina Assistant Prof. Blood Transfusion Department who also spoke on the occasion appealed the common masses to donate blood voluntarily because donation of blood refreshes ones mind and body. He lauded the efforts of YBA as being the pioneer of blood donation movement in J&K state.
The artists, honoured on the occasion, include Arsh Saibai, Qayum Raja, Sham Sajan, Neeraj Badiyal, Pardeep Pandita, Amarjeet Singh, Jai Kumari, Manju Bala, Amarjeet Kour, Janu Khajuria. The blood donors who were honoured on the occasion include Ravi Kumar Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Rejoinder Sapru, Kulwant Singh, Rajeev Dogra, Rajesh Aggarwal, S. Hardeep Singh, Arvind Samotra and Arun Bakshi.
The video CD was also presented to Usha Shaminder, Principal KV Bantalab, Neeru Puri, Principal S.D Tarapuri, Vandana Sharma, Principal D.P.S Katra and the media persons present on the occasion.
The stage was conducted by renowned heartiest Jugal Kaul while vote of thanks was presented by Ravi Kumar Gupta. The function was sponsored by J&K AIDS Prevention and Control Society. |
