| Police vehicle attacked at Surankot | | | Early Times Reporter

A police vehicle was attacked by some unknown militants in Buflayaiz area of Surankot in Poonch district today when it was returning after off duty.
According to reports a vehicle of 9th battalion Armed was returning after dropping a Dy. Commandant in Thanamandi and when it reached the jungle area of Drawa 3 km far from Buflayaiz, the militant opened fire on the vehicle. Sources said militant resorted to heavy firing on the vehicle but the driver managed to escape unhurt from the spot along with other police personnel traveling in the vehicle. Reports said police personnel informed the senior officers about the incident and a search operation was launched in the area as last report came in.
