Trikuta college holds quiz on ‘Gandhian Philosophy’

In addition to academics, the Trikuta Degree College Jammu is advancing in all round development of its students. The College today organized the Inter College Quiz Competition on ‘Gandhian Philosophy’ at Nardani Jammu, where various questions were asked on the subject.
Nine teams participated in the competition, which include GGM, Science College, MAM College, Govt Women’s College Parade, Government Women’s’ College, Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Group of Colleges and others. The participants were presented with Certificates by the Mayor, JMC.
“The contribution of Trikuta Group of Colleges towards academics and overall development of ‘education’ is marvelous. The organization of Quiz Competitions like the present Inter College Quiz Competition on ‘Gandhian Philosophy’ is one such step that develops the overall skills of a student and enables him to develop the confidence to face national and international level competitions. It is desirous that the Trikuta Group of Colleges initiates steps to organize such competitions at the national level, so that the local talent gets national level exposures”, said Sri Narinder Singh, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation while honouring the participants on the occasion.
Dr. Roop Lal Sharma, Chairman speaking on the occasion highlighted the academic excellence of the Colleges and while appreciating the Faculty members of various Colleges said that it is the hard work and dedication of the teachers that the Colleges are becoming leaders in academic results continuously for the last four years. Dr. Sharma also impressed upon the students to abide by the Gandhian philosophy.
“Very soon the Trikuta Group of Colleges is going to construct a national level Cricket Stadium measuring 25 kanals of land at Nardani Jammu, where State and national level tournaments would be organized”, added Dr. Sharma.
