Ajaz Ahmed Jan, who was recently appointed as Secretary J&K Youth National Conference, Jammu province by the party high command was accorded a rousing reception by the rank and file of District Poonch at Poonch today in a impressive function organized by the National Conference workers. Thousands of party workers welcomed Ajaz Jan and took him to Poonch from Chandak in shape of rally, which was followed by caravan of party workers. The rally culminated at Dak Banglow Poonch.
The party leaders from Poonch thanked Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Patron, Omar Abdullah President , Sheikh Nazir Ahmed General Secretary and Ajay Sadhotra Provincial President for posing faith and confidence in the young and energetic leader – Ajaz Jan and hailed their decision for appointing him as Secretary Youth National Conference for Jammu province.
While addressing impressive mammoth gathering, Ajaz Jan thanked the Party High Command for posing faith in him and assigning him the responsibility. He said that he will work dedicatedly and will come upto the expectations of the party high command and the party rank and file of Poonch. He called upon the party workers to work unitedly, take programme and policies of the party at grass root level and strengthen the party and its leadership.
Ajaz said his father late Gh. Mohd Jan had always worked for the betterment and upliftment of the people of Poonch and he pledged to shoulder the responsibility of his late father to complete the uphill task which remained unfinished due to his untimely demise and said he will uphold the party flag.
He called upon the people of Poonch to strengthen the party and the slogan of " Hindu Kashmir Sikh Ithad". He futher called upon the people to maintain traditional communal harmony, tranquility and brotherhood and cautioned them against vicious propaganda of some vested interest who are hell bent upon to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of this District.
Among others who addressed the rally included Qazi Mohd Syed Beig District President Poonch, Molvi Sanaullah ,Ch. Abdul Gani, Haji Bagh Hussain, Gh. Nabi Lone, Kamrate, Maroof Khan, Ab. Ahad Bhat, Nirmal Sharma and others. |
