The BJP's forgotten martyr of ideology Surekha Chowdhary has not only been written off by the party but even an appeal for the space she deserved is being seen as contempt.
Her daughter, Komal, who had expressed her reservation at the BJP headquarters on removing the portrait of her mother is not being threatened against raising her voice. "We know you want to occupy in party the position your mother had…you better keep quite", this is what she has been told.
After a report on Surekha appeared in Monday edition of the EARLY TIMES, Komal continues to get crank calls on her cell phone all the day. A caller who refused to identify himself, threatened Komal of consequences if she spoke any more. "You keep your mouth shut", he said.
All calls were made on her cell phone from another cell phone number which Komal identified as 9469099123. The caller hurled choicest of invectives on the aggrieved girl and told her that it may prove costly if next time she spoke. It cant be said whether the caller had any connection with the BJP but Surekha's daughter told EARLY TIMES that she would continue to fight for respect to her mother. |
