In a joint operation, an Army column recovered a cache in general area Malpur in Akhnoor on 01 October 2007. The cache comprises of two AK 56 Rifles and assorted ammunitions.
In another incident, troops of Rashtriya Rifles recovered a cache in general area Kalas Mohalla Marhot in Surankot and recovered one Chinese Pistol and 85 rounds of PIKA ammunitions.
Meanwhile, Sepoy Ram Lal of 45 Rashtirya Rifles got electrocuted at Marhot in Surankot. The individual was evacuated to Military Hospital and succumbed to his injuries, said a PIB (Defnece Wing) release. |
