Top seed Ishan Choudhary among five cueists today qualified for the pre-quarterfinals round of senior snooker in the ongoing 17th Jammu district billiards and snooker championship at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
One of the qualifiers, Sanjeev Gupta got walkover Ritesh Gupta, who could not turn the venue at the given time thus forcing the organizing secretary to award walkover.
Among other cueists, Jaideep Manocha and Vishal won their matches easily while Sheetal Gandotra, who is also general secretary of the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, had to undergo a close contest against Arjun.
