Chairman and a member of SOS International interacted with Barones Emma Nicholo son, Chairperson External Affairs Committee, European Union (EACEU) on her invitation.
SOS International is an international organization of Pak Occupied Kashmir refugees. These refugees, according to their press release, issued here have been denied aid cash relief by the government for all these sixty years.
They wre even denied a meeting with the Baroness, as alleged by Rajiv Chunni, Chairman of the organization. Chunni further said that they could not have interacted with the Baroness had not her flight been cancelled due to bad weather.
The International demanded a package at par with KP migrants, who, according to him have migrated from one part of the state to another, while PoK refugees have migrated from Pakistan. Chunni refuted the allegations that PoK refugees had been permanently rehabilitated or paid cash relief.
Madam Baroness consoled them and assured them she would take up the question in European parliament, so that their grievances are redressed.
The team also visited Bohr camp interacting with women. She also asked SOS international to form committees with women and aged members.
