Early Times Reporter Jammmu | Oct 3 As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, pecial squad headed by Assistant Director CAPD M. A. Choudhary alongwith team today, inspected various establishments at Ustad Mohalla, Residency Road, Talab Khatikan, Rajinder Bazar, Shahidi Chownk, Bawa-Wali-Gali, Upper Gujjar Nagar, Panjbakhtar Road, B.C Road, New Plot, Janipur Colony, Paloura, Patoli, Sarwal, Vikas Nagar, Link Road, Patta Bhori, Canal Road and Talab Tillo areas of Jammu city and booked 52 defaulters for violating the provisions of Essential Commodities Act and L.P.G Control Order. Besides, 30 defaulters were booked under prevention of Food and Adulteration Act 1954 and rotten fruits, vegetables were destroyed on the spot. An amount of Rs. 21200 was released on the spot from the violators. Nine domestic cylinder being used for commercial purposes were seized. Traders have been directed to display the rate lists at prominent place for the knowledge of customers/visitors. Mr. Choudhary asked the shopkeepers to keep their business premises neat and clean and refuse to use domestic cylinders in establishments for commercial purpose. |
