| JU releases info book on B.ed colleges | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 4 College Development Council (CDC) of Jammu University has released a handbook of information on private B Ed colleges. The brochure was released at a function held at Gymnasium Hall of the varsity campus here today. Those present on the occasion included Dean Academic Affairs Prof. BPS Sehgal, Controller examinations Prof. Desh Bandhu, Director, Colleges Development Council Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Dr. PS Pathania, Dean Student Welfare, Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, Assistant Dean Student welfare and RS Dalpatia, Assistant Registrar, CDC. The book contains a profile of all non government colleges of education, the B Ed syllabi, and activities of the CDC. Vice Chancellor, Jammu University Amitabh Mattoo through his message in the brochure appreciated the efforts of the CDC and hoped that the handbook would be educative and informative for the students. Speaking at the function, Meenakshi highlighted that Jammu region has emerged as a teacher training hub in tandem with a growing mandate for public –private partnership in higher education and in recent past there has been an increasing need for trained teachers in the country. |
