An Indo-Pak wrestling competition would be organised by the Indian Style Wrestling Association (ISWA) in Katra in Jammu on October 14.
Stating this, Jammu and Kashmir head of the ISWA, Shiv Kumar Sharma said the association today reviewed the arrangements for the event which is scheduled at the Vivekanand Sports Stadium, Katra on October 14.
"J&K chapter of ISWA in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi Sports Foundation is organising the third Mission Dosti Wrestling under the aegis of ISWA and J&K Sports council," he said.
Shiv Kumar Sharma disclosed that the third Rustam-e-Indo-Pak Wrestling which is also known as 'Mission Dosti' will be held in a mud akhara in Jammu.
The prize money for the first bout will be Rs 51,000/- in addition to traditional silver gurj (gadda) and patta.
Abdul Majeed, Mohammad Bashir, Mohammad Hamid, Ali Khan, Abdul Rehman, Mohammad Shahid, Pappu, Mohammad Shafiq, M M Tariq and Mohammad Imran are the Pakistani wrestlers who will take part in the competition, besides national wrestlers from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh. |
