| Inter-college boxing meet from Oct 15 | | | Early Times Reporter

Annual inter-college men’s boxing competitions, organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu shall start from October 15 at MA Stadium ring, here.
This was disclosed by the Assistant Director, Dr Sonam Angchuk. He said that competition will be held for 12 different weight categories following the rules of the Boxing Federation of India.
The weight groups for which the competition shall take place are upto 48 kg, 48-51 kg; 51-54 kg; 54-57 kg; 57-60 kg; 60-63.5 kg; 63.5 kg-67 kg; 67-71 kg; 71-75 kg; 75-81 kg; 81-91 kg and above 91 kg.
Meanwhile, the participating colleges have started preparing their teams providing the pugilists training under the guidance of senior boxing players and coaches. |
