Chief of Army Staff, General Deepak Kapoor called on Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha at Raj Bhavan this afternoon.
This is the first visit of General Kapoor to Jammu and Kashmir after assuming the charge of Army Chief.
The Army Chief was with the Governor for two hours. General Officer Commanding, Northern Command, Lt. Gen H S Panag, Corps Commander, 15 Corps Lt. Gen A S Sekhoon besides Chief Secretary, C Phunsog, Financial Commissioner, Home, B R Kundal and Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr Arun Kumar were also present. |
