| UPSET ASIYA ASKS BAR ASSOCIATION TO WITHDRAW FROM SRINAGAR SEX CASE | | | SRINAGAR, Aug 19, 06: Furious over the direction given to JK High Court by the Apex Court to put a halt on random arrests in the infamous Srinagar sleaze case, visibly upset chief of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Asiya Andrabi on Saturday afternoon asked JK High Court Bar Association led by Mian Abdul Qayoom, and Division Bench comprising of Justice Hakeem Imtiyaz Hussain and Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani to withdraw from the case to save themselves from "further humiliation at the hands of New Delhi".
"We never had faith in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation). We never trust Indian judiciary but we only extended support to Jammu and Kashmir High Court judges and Bar Association because of their personal character. But after Supreme Court directions everything has been snatched from the High Court. I appeal them to withdraw themselves from the case, as we believe nothing is going to come out of the case," enraged Ms Asiya said.
Speaking at a press conference at a local hotel here Asiya informed she will make public the names of nine cabinet ministers, top politicians, parliamentarians, bureaucrats, police officials and traders – which she said are involved neck deep in the sex scandal. Ms Asiya put the number of involved men at 56.
"People will come to know about all these names through pamphlets in coming two or three days, and then people will act against the culprits on their own.
"India, under a craftily hatched conspiracy to keep Kashmiris slaves for ever, is using rapes and sex scandals as weapons of war and tools for slavery –thus molesting the chastity of our daughters. Let us fight against nefarious designs collectively," she said while making a passionate appeal to people. Referring to recent sex scandal in Handwara Asiya said minor girls were being exploited by politicians. "
About the handing over of Srinagar sex case to CBI by Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig she said: "This was an attempt to hush up the whole matter and spare the real crocodiles. His announcement of transferring the case to CBI on May 9 amounts to phrase 'Chor Machaie Shoar' (culprit makes noise)."
She also accused that CBI was asked to work at a snails pace till the matter was forgotten. "CBI played a trick like tortoise, adopted dilly dallying tactics .
