Gujjar urges administration
Keep essential items freely available during Ramzan’

Gujjar and Bakerwals of the district have demanded that during the month of ‘Ramzan’ they should he provided sugar, mustard oil, rice, atta and suji from govt. ration depot in without any hindrance.
Addressing a meeting of the community here today, Qasim Din Bania said both state and central govt are not serious about the problems being faced by the Gujjars and Bakerwals. He appealed the government that free ration and relief be provided to the families of village Nagrota Prehta, of tehsil Basohli who lost their belongings in devastating fire last month. He further said, special survey be conducted for Gujjar and Bakerwals living below poverty line. He also demanded that anganwari centres be opened in Gujjars Bastis. He said there is a shortage of Urdu teachers in govt. school arrangement he made to provide teachers of the subject.
Among others who also spoke were Karam Din Chopra, Maulvi Faqir Hussain, Haji Qasim Din, Shor Ali, and Mohd. Yousaf.
