| After 20 years; someone kills a snow leopard | | | Early Times Reporter

A rare snow leopard was killed by some unidentified persons today in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
Acting on the information, a team of forest department officials recovered the snow leopard's body with multiple injures in the neck from Bafliaz area in the Pir-panchal ranges of Surankote tehsil, they said.
This is the first instance of killing of the snow leopard in Pir-panchal ranges in the last two decade, they said.
A case has been registered in this direction, they said adding the postmortem is being conducted to know the reason behind the animal's death. |
