Incensed over recent losses in Kashmir valley at the hands of security forces, dreaded Pak based militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba has threatened to launch fresh spate of fidayeen attacks in near future.
A LeT spokesman Abdullah Gaznavi - in a telephonic message to a news agency threatened to launch fresh spate of fidayeen attacks in Kashmir in near future.
The threat comes at a time when security forces are engaged in fighting the increased infiltration bids from across the border with as many as 24 militants and eight soldiers killed in Kashmir valley alone in the last six days.
Of them, 18 were militants who had successfully infiltrated into the Valley in two groups of nine each in Gulmarg and Karnah sector, which are believed to be Lashkar cadres.
Lashkar has also lost its Divisional Commander Abu Wafa alias Moosa and deputy divisional commander Abu Kasim in an encounter in Bandipore area of North Kashmir while nine militants were killed in an operation by army in Tangmarg near the world famous ski resort of Gulmarg while another commander died in Shopian area of South Kashmir recently. |
