| J&K to host 4 matches in women cricket | | | Early Times Reporter Jammau | Oct 7 With trials already in place from October 5 at MA Stadium, the stage is set for Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to host four matches of the women's cricket (senior) tournament starting from October 16. In this North Zone tournament, J&K will play four matches beginning with opener against Himachal Pradesh in Himachal on October 16. After the first two-day game, J&K will take on the same opponent at the same venue for one-dayer on October 18. The JKCA has been allotted four matches, two for Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Srinagar on October 21(two-day) and on October 23 (one-dayer). The other match has been schedule for MA Stadium on October 31 (two-day) and November two (one-dayer). Meanwhile, 15 women cricketers are attending the trials-cum-camp under the supervision of SAI cricket coach, Veena Sharma at M A Stadium, here. “I have been assigned the job by the JKCA to conduct nets sessions for the women cricketers. At least 15 girls from Jammu are there in the camp and hopefully by Monday some girls from Kashmir are also joining the Jammu women at the nets,” she said.
