Senior Congress leader Shashi Sharma had an extensive tour of Dabad Pandoria, Chak Majra and other Border villages of Bishnah tehsil to acquaint himself about the problems facing the people there. A large number of deputation from these villages apprised the visiting Congress leaders about their problems including erratic power and water supply, poor sanitation, deteriorating condition of roads, lanes and bye lanes. The inhabitants of these areas informed the visiting Congress leader that despite their repeated pleas to the sitting MLA, nothing has been done to address these problems.. They are also reported to have alleged that the sitting MLA has even failed to take any development scheme in these villages falling under Bishnah constituency. Addressing a public meeting in village Pandoria, Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment of ensuring balanced and equitable development of all the regions and areas and assured that their genuine demands would be taken up at the appropriate level for early redressal. Sharma enumerated the measures taken by the Chief Minister for speedy development of the state especially the hitherto left over areas and said that work on two vital bridges in Bishnah area involving crores are rupees are on the anvil. He urged the people to strengthen the hands of Congress and the Chief Minister and also appreciated the Centre especially the Prime Minister and AICC Chief for granting liberal financial assistance to the state for massive infrastructure development.
