| Kuldeep back in form, enters Sr snooker final | | 17th Jammu district billiards and snooker championship | | Early Times Reporter JAMMU | Oct 8 Former state champion, Kuldeep Sharma today trounced fighting second seed Sumesh Turki 4-2 to sail into the final of senior snooker in the 17th Jammu district billiards and snooker championship being played at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today. Displaying his exceptional skills in potting, Kuldeep took away first three frames in an attempt to make it a straight frames victory in the best of seven games. But Kuldeep’s move was halted by Sumesh, again a former champion, by playing quality snooker. Sumesh fought back winning the two successive frames that too with ease, but it was Kuldeep’s day, who won the low scoring sixth frame 48-26 to make it into the final. The score: 56-50, 66-3, 59-36, 18-65, 5-60, 48-26. The second semi-final of the senior snooker in which Kamal Rohmetra will take on Jaideep Manocha, has been scheduled for tomorrow at 2 pm. Meanwhile, according to the organizing secretary, Jaideep Manocha, the senior billiards competitions shall start from October 10 and draws can be seen tomorrow. |
