| Minor killed, PoK women among 11 injured | | | Early Times Reporter Mendhar (Poonch) | Oct 9 A minor boy was killed and eleven others were injured when the Tata-Sumo they were traveling in skidded of the road near Krishna Ghati on Poonch Mendhar road, last night. Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK02L/1152 was on way to Mendhar from Poonch when it skidded off the road and fell 150 feet deep in gorge killing a minor boy and injuring eleven others. The injured have been admitted in Sub-District hospital Mendhar for treatment, "the condition of one of the injured was stated to be critical," a doctor on duty said. Firdous Begum, 55 wife of Mohd Shafi of Kotli PoK and her son Basharat Hussian who yesterday crossed over to this side of the LoC along with other visitors to meet their relatives after the gap of forty two years also got injured and have been admitted in SDH Mendhar. Firdous Begum who had come to see her real sister Azmat Bibi wife of Shah Muhammad of Jughal Mendhar landed in hospital and is undergoing treatment. The deceased minor has been identified as Munna son of Zaffar Iqbal of Chhunga Mendhar. Those injured include, Firdous Begum her son Basharat Hussian both residents of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Zaffar Iqbal and Muhammad Iqbal both son's Muhammad Yaqoob of Chhunga, Driver Muhammad Raqeeb son of Muhammad Aziz of Chhunga, Sameena daughter of Mohd Rafiq of Kashblody, Muhammad Shabir son of Sakhi, Mushtaq Ahmad son of Muhammad Rafiq of Batidar, Muhammad Zubair son of Deepita of Mendhar. |
