| Rs.45.40 cr for priority sectors in Rajouri | | | Early Times Reporter Rajouri | Oct 9 An amount of Rs.45.40 crore has been earmarked for priority sectors in Rajouri district out of total allocation of Rs.60.09 crore for the current financial year. This was disclosed by the District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh here today. He said that the allocation under capital component included Rs. 12 crore under R&B (PWD), Rs. 3.74 crore in PHE, Rs. 4.12 crore under irrigation, Rs. 2148.73 lakh in education and Rs. 4.96 crore in health sectors. In PHE sector against the total allocation, Rs. 2 crore are as state share and Rs. 10 crore as loan from NABARD which will be utilized on construction of 81.75 km roads at various stages besides five bridges/ culverts and 36 pipe culverts are proposed for construction. During the first quarter of the current fiscal, 26.20 kms of roads completed by way of blacktopping, metalling, shingling of fair weather roads besides 26 pipe culverts have also been completed. |
