| Hirdesh reviews Navratras, Dussehra arrangements | | | Early Times Reporter

To review arrangements for smooth conduct of Navratras and Dussehra festivals District Development Commissioner Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh today convened a high level officers meeting to review the arrangements for forthcoming festivals.
MLA Gandhi Nagar Mr. Raman Bhalla, SSP Security, SP Traffic, senior officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, JMC and representatives of various religious societies were also present on the occasion.
In the meeting threadbare discussion were held to ensure all the necessary arrangements for the celebration of Navratras and Dussehra festivals with traditional gaiety and fervor.
The DDC asked the Jammu Municipal Committee to ensure cleanliness in and around all temples and also at the Dussehra ground which included Parade ground, Gandhi Nagar and Bahu Fort.
He asked concerned authorities to make all necessary arrangements of drinking water in temples and also at Dussehra grounds. He asked the PDD authorities to ensure interrupted power supply during this auspicious.
The DDC asked the health authorities to arrange health centre with ambulance at Dussehra ground. He asked the SSP traffic to ensure traffic arrangements on the same pattern of last year for the benefit of people. He asked the fire and emergency service department to keep the fire tender ready at vulnerable places to face any eventuality.
Reviewing the security arrangements, the DDC asked the authorities to make adequate security arrangements on both the occasions. Secretary Dharamarth trust Ms Vijay Gandotra apprised the DDC about the arrangement by the trust during Navratras and Dussehra. She requested the DDC to supply un-interrupted power supply on both the occasions. |
