| Solar lights being provided to several villages of the state: Peerzada | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 9 Minister for Education, Science and Technology Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has said that government is determined to extend all basic facilities to the people of the state in a phased manner which include safe drinking water and adequate power supply. He said that in view of forthcoming winter season, most of the villages would be provided solar lights to avoid the crisis of load shedding. The Minister was addressing a public meeting at Khanabal today. The meeting was attended be senior citizens and several district officers. Sayeed directed the officers to speed up the pace of ongoing development works and ensure their completion before onset of winter so that people in general would be benefited by these schemes. He said that government has made revolutionary progress in education sector while spreading network of schools in nook and corner of the state. He said the students living in far flung areas have been facilitated by education facility at their doorstep. The meeting was addressed by several political leaders of the district. |
