| Kashmir girls arrive Jammu for joint camp | | Women’s cricket tournament | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 9 At least 15 girls from Kashmir have arrived here today to attend a three-day joint camp with Jammu girls at MA Stadium, here from tomorrow for the senior women’s cricket tournament. “Soon after the three-day camp, starting from October 10, the team shall be announced by the selection committee on October 13,” said Sunit Sharma, joint secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). According to the joint secretary, the team shall proceed for Himachal on October 14 to take on Himachal in the two-day game, followed by the one-dayer starting from October 16. From Himachal, J&K team will be back home to face Delhi at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar in two games from October 21. It may be recalled that 15 girls from Jammu are already attending the net sessions from October 5 at MA Stadium under the guidance of SAI cricket coach, Veena Sharma. Meanwhile, the joint secretary Jammu wing, Sunit Sharma said that the tomorrow’s first joint net session shall take place in the morning from 9 am. “Considering congestion in the stadium in the evening hours, we, in consultation with coach, Veena Sharma are planning to conduct the nets for rest of the days in the morning time,” said Sunit. |
