| NSUI demands reshuffling in JU administration | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 10 Alleging that high level authorities have failed to take corrective measures on various sections and only enjoyed their power, National Students Union of India (NSUI) today demanded reshuffling of high level administration and appealed the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu, to take some initiatives to improve internal administrative structure. Addressing a press conference, Virender Singh Chib, state general secretary and in charge, JU came down heavily on the university authority and suggested certain corrective measures to improve examination system. Chib said that it has been observed that due to lack of infrastructure which includes shortage of space that is examination halls and peripheral staff, the examination system was in mess. It has been observed that certain administrative people who are on responsible posts have lack of understanding and have utterly failed to take corrective measures, he added. Chib said the authorities have failed to declare result on time. He said while a single clerk in the varsity is catering to 700 students, there is a huge workload and as such per 70 students should get single clerk to their disposal. He said that it would be appropriate if certain posts are manned by academicians rather than administrators and in this connection there is a need of major reshuffling in high level administration. He requested the vice chancellor to take corrective measures to end this chaos in university. |
