| Srinagar becoming heaven for sex exploiters: HC Judgement | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 10 Srinagar city has turned into a hub of immoral activities, reveals the judgment which was pronounced before state high court (HC) on October 8, when names of some additional big guns involved in the infamous sex racket were disclosed. The judgment which was read by Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani, said that "around 50 places in Srinagar city are managed by different women organizing immoral sex trafficking by exploiting hundreds of innocent girls with suspected patronage from unsuspected patronage". In the HC, it was stressed that a separate police wing should bi set up in state which is meant to probe into anti-social and immoral offences by women. "It would be in fitness of things that government seriously examines setting of a separate wing in police for dealing with anti-social offences like immoral trafficking and drug abuses etc," Justice Kirmani stressed while reading the judgment. The judgment also indicated that in future names of third category of involved persons revealed in future investigations by Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI). "There is yet another category of persons who have been alleged by Sabina to have had illicit sex with girls procured by her or known to her…I am totally aghast to find names of some highly placed people in this list particularly from police department and political field; high ranking police officers and political functionaries including some former and sitting ministers of the cabinet…" In his 201 pages judgment Justice Kirmani has further observed by recording Sabina's statements, which has suggested that strings of this case is spread out to Delhi Mumbai, Singapore and Dubai. The court has asked for further interrogation of Muzaffar Handoo a resident of Rajbagh and Municipal Corporation councilor Nazia alias Manju who according to court are allegedly involved in sex racketing at high official and political level. The coming days would also witness a high drama and speedy activities related to investigations on court directions, as the CBI team has reportedly arrived here. "Many sitting and former ministers have started lobbying to in the investigating agencies to evade their arrests. There might be many new faces cropping up in the list of high profile sex exploiters of the state," said a source. Meanwhile, sources maintain that CBI team has been directed to proceed without any consideration. The directions have come in wake of high court reprimanding CBI and to withhold its credibility at regional and national level, said sources. |
