| BJP’s National Minority Morcha to meet in Srinagar next month | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 10 The working committee of the BJP’s National minority Morcha is likely to meet in Srinagar on November 4 to discuss the plight of minorities in the country and recommend measures for ameliorating their lot without favouring one minority community over the other. The meeting was earlier slated to be held during the third week of October but it was postponed to suit the convenience of the BJP President,Mr Rajnath Singh,who has been invited to chair the deliberations. Several Kashmiri Pandit leaders associated with the BJP have conveyed to the Party leadership that the Minority Morcha,at its meeting in Srinagar,should also discuss the plight of displaced community and recommend to the Government to take in hand measures for their suitable rehabilitation. In the meantime the state unit of the BJP has decided to launch what it calls pre-poll exercise from October 23 when party workers and polling agents,already selected for each booth in the Jammu region,will meet in Jammu.These workers and polling agents will be addressed by the party President, Rajnath Singh.Senior party leaders,including, Shanta Kumar,a former Himachal Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, will also attend the meeting. |
