| Sadhu Sants urge govt to preserve Ram Setu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 10 Sadhu sants of city today took out a Rath Yatra through different areas of the city to urge upon the government to make sure that no harm is done to the Rama Sethu in Rameshwaram and warned the Centre government for any move against the traditional Setu. The Yatra was organized by the Sadhu Sants on behalf of Rameshwarm Ram Sethu Raksha Munch (RRSRM) in order to support the Cause of the Munch for its role of saving the Ram Sethu. Various Hindu organizations, political parties, prominent citizens and women were following the Rath Yatra and assured their full cooperation for saving the this old sanctity of India. The Rath Yatra starts after noon from the Mubark Mandi complex and passed through the different bazaars of the city which included Chowk Chbotra, Jain Bazar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City chowk, Rughanath Bazar, Gumat and finally culminated at the Dogra Chowk. During the Yatra drums were beaten on the way and the followers were shouting slogans against the government for raising the question mark over the existence of Lord Rama in its affidavit. Those who participated in the protest included Sunil Dimple, Khem Ji, Dharamvir Dhar, Dinesh Khanna, Chand Mohan Gupta, Amar Chand Gupta, KK Proch and others. |
